IDEC Switches

HS Series
Door Interlocking Switches

Interlock switches are a more reliable alternative to limit switches, providing much more security in potentially dangerous locations and ensuring that machinery will not start or operate unless conditions are safe. The HS series of interlock switches feature direct opening action, which forces the contacts to disconnect when the door or access gate is opened, even if the contacts have been welded or stuck, conforming the EN60947-5-1. Available in a variety of sizes, models and contact configurations, all with IP67 protection, these switches meet all major requirements for machine safety.

HE Series
Enabling Switches

IDEC is one of the few companies to offer a line of enabling switches that meet the latest ANSI and RIA standards for working with robotic equipment (ANSI/RIA R15.06). These standards specifically require the use of three-position enabling switches in teaching pendants. HE switches feature OFF-ON-OFF functionality, based on studies showing that the human response in panic situations may be to squeeze or to release. The contacts will not close when released from OFF (position 3) to OFF (position 1), as per EN60204-1 ; 9.2.5.8.
